Franco “Il Bambino” Barbi Enters the Scene

The newest addition to The Outlast Trials is Franco “Il Bambino” Barbi. This character brings a new level of danger with his sawn-off shotgun, Lupara. Players will encounter him in the new trial, Poison the Medicine, set in The Docks. His presence adds a layer of unpredictability, as he will appear alongside other notorious characters like Gooseberry and Coyle during the initial weeks of his introduction.

New Game Mode: Escalation Therapy

The update also introduces a new game mode called Escalation Therapy. This mode adds a roguelite element to the game, presenting players with a series of randomized trials. Each trial comes with variators that increase the difficulty, challenging players to survive as long as possible. Success in these trials offers rewards and power-ups, incentivizing players to push their limits.

Weekly Programs and New Features

In addition to new trials and characters, the update brings a fresh season with weekly programs. These programs offer new content for players to explore, keeping the gameplay dynamic and engaging. A new rig that allows players to barricade doors has been added, along with revamped menus for a more streamlined experience.

Special Offer

To celebrate the update, The Outlast Trials is currently available at a 33% discount on Steam until Monday, July 22. The discounted price is $26.79 / £22.44, down from the original $39.99 / £33.50.
